No Cook Pizza Sauce

This yields enough for making 10 individually-sized pizzas.

This recipe is simple enough for older kids to make during your cooking party.

You can measure the ingredients in advance, or involve participants and have them measure ingredients. Remember, never measure directly over your bowl!


Ingredients

1 (15 ounce) can plain tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground oregano
1 ½ teaspoons dried minced garlic
¼ paprika
¼ salt

1. Add tomato paste to tomato sauce in medium-sized glass or metal mixing bowl. With a spoon or spatula mix until combined and smooth.
2. Add brown sugar, oregano, garlic and paprika. Stir thoroughly.
3. Add half the salt. Stir thoroughly. Taste. Add more salt to level of personal taste.

Alternative preparation: Put tomato sauce and tomato paste into a quart-sized mason jar. Carefully secure the lid and screw ring. Shake Mason jar until the contents are combined and smooth. Open jar, add brown sugar, oregano, garlic and paprika. Replace lid and screw ring. Shake until additions are evenly distributed. Open jar, Add half the salt. Replace lid and screw top. Shake thoroughly. Taste. Add more salt to level of personal taste.
